Grounded in the paradigm shift of restorative justice, this experiential training will offer participants the opportunity to practice and cement new skills through activities, role plays, small group interactions, and large group discussions. This training will provide participants with a firm understanding of restorative principles and their practical applications within their own community (whether it be a workplace, community group, or at home).
We prioritise relationships and having fun through community building activities and the use of games to teach important concepts. Come learn how to build a group culture founded on respect, empathy and honest communication, and how to resolve conflict using a restorative approach.
During the day you'll learn:
- Introduction to restorative justice and the restorative paradigm
- How to facilitate a circle process
- Circle applications (proactive and reactive)
- Restorative conversation model for resolving one-on-one conflict
- Understand the restorative paradigm in your own context
